Fundamentals of Design by Briana Cuamani

  While creating this grid design, I had thought of implementing rhombuses, I added texture by not color blocking the whole rhombus and just scribbling in the rhombus fully. The dove design idea came from a necklace I wear daily and thought it was the exact thing that was missing. Overall, illustrating this design was very peaceful and very good way to add a personal touch to a grid design. 

  While illustrating this design, I thought of perspective and the way people perceive things that they see. I thought about depth and the way it can be represented in different ways. I also thought about the comic-like shading being combined with your regular shading and color block shading as well. Therefore, I did the repetition of space being the way that it’s the space inside of each square, this can also portray the repetition of shape as it shows a pattern. 

 Reflection:  These designs were quite hard to differentiate and in the process of getting my ideas on paper was relaxing as it all came together based off of my sketches. These designs allowed me to express my creativity and brings a sense of inspiration for future designs.
